65. (Still) Delayed - by JimmyWolk

First of all, apologies to everyone waiting for the next chapter, let alone to anyone thinking this post may finally be the one to announce its start.
Around August, I had planned to get the script done by October, do the rough draft in November and have the first pages ready by the end of the year. Hate to say, that's not looking likely. Even the script is still far from done, so unless I'd take a looong break in between, I don't see myself getting a page out this year.
Admittedly, a lot of that is my own fault (well, duh, I'm the only one who could do something about it). Beyond the usual "little time", "being busy", "being lazy", I had a bit of a self-made conflict in regards to my plans for the chapter. With a trip to the Grandparents in Germany, I wanted to use the chance to give a little insight into the country beyond the usual stereotypes. However, most things I could think of (that would be interesting enough) were based around certain traditions/holidays and I didn't really want to center the chapter around one. I know some of you wouldn't mind, but given that it'd be running for most of the year, it'd feel weird to me to have, for example, a Christmas chapter in July. ^^;
So, I figured to not trying to force anything into the chapter itself, which means there might just be some passing references here and there (otherwise I just have one short scene so far, but even with that, I'm not entirely sure to leave it in, as it's a bit awkward to place in the timeline). To make up for that (and also kinda for the lack of chapter) I had the idea that I might do a bonus picture series around those traditions instead, releasing it whenever it's "appropriate" (and with the big one around the corner, there's quite a bit to cover rather soon).
Though I might as well put a general disclaimer here already: It will be mostly based on my own childhood memories, so even if I say "German traditions", it may actually just be a regional or even family one; quite a few might not be German-only but extend to other countries; some may even be outdated nowadays. But I hope you'll enjoy either way.

See you soon!

(And by soon, I mean tomorrow, unless anything goes wrong with the php script changes I'm currently working on, since my stupid past self didn't think of the possibility that I might want to have some extra pages outside the chapters)

I have a question regarding the grandparents in Germany, Will Asuka's father be depicted as an asshole? or will he be cold and distant?

Hm, how to put it without spoiling too much...?

Let's just say, certain things will be addressed, there will be some drama about it, but I still intend on this being a lighthearted story overall.

I know, I know, sorry! ^^;
But I can guarantee that it's not dead, I have been drawing lately and while don't want to make any promise that I'm not sure if I can keep it, I'm still hoping that the new chapter will start this year.
